Vanessa Holliday is a surface designer who loves to create contemporary prints inspired by the flora and fauna of the Australian landscape. Her designs generally start as hand drawn sketches in pen and pencil, adding colour and supporting elements digitally.
When she starts a design, Vanessa never quite knows how it will develop, the only rule she follows is to ask herself whether the combination of elements and colours feel beautiful.
Vanessa started out in design developing her own homewares products and after completing a Diploma in Surface Design in 2017 shifted focus to pattern design.
