Setting up files is integral to getting the desired outcomes of printing
Next State recommends the following
Colour Mode – RGB
Pixels Per Inch (PPI) – 300
Optimal type to save file as – TIFF
Other acceptable file types – JPEG and PDF
Colour Management
Colour management encompasses all elements of print design: from what we can see with our eyes or imagine how our print will look, the inputs we use to create it (such as scanning, taking photographs and drawing), to the final outcome of our print on a textile.
Understanding how colour will translate from a screen to a textile will give you the best control possible over the colour in your prints.
