We created this bucket hat using off-cuts from our Remnants Box. The outside and the lining of the hat were recreated into a new textile with blue dye and a few rubber bands. A little bit of fabric can go along way into the creation of something new and useful.
Each one of our Remnants box is filled with offcuts of our natural textiles as part of our range and different fabrics we have tested. They are effectively filled with seven meters worth of fabric that has escaped landfill or recycling. Since the launch of our Remnants Box over 280m of fabric has been repurposed.
We have shared out process here in the creation of the bucket hat and hope that we can inspire you to think about creative ways to use remnants.
