Use Muslin for..

Muslin is a classic textile for children's and baby wear. Perfect for the use of rompers, swaddles, tops and dresses. Muslin is also a staple in womenswear for dresses, flowing tops and gathered skirts. The dual layer of our Muslin makes it perfect for garments and the open weave is breathable and soft to wear.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Muslin (sometimes referred to as Gauze) is a soft cotton fabric that has tightly spun yarn woven into an open construction. Our Muslin is double layer for extra snuggle and softness. The open weave allows the fabric to fall and have a soft appearance. The two layers of the Muslin are sewn together with a loose stitch that has subtle visibility through the fabric, this is a characteristic of Muslin.

The open weave gives a soft texture to prints and produces lovely print results.

Each roll of fabric can have subtle variation in appearance and print translation. Natural fabrics may contain imperfections such as slubbing and yarn variation; These are characteristic of fibres derived from seeds and plants.

CARE

Cold delicate machine wash individually or with like textiles, turn inside out to protect print. Do not soak, wring or bleach. Line dry in shade or flat. Iron on reverse on low cotton setting, can use steam.

Our care instructions are a general recommendation, depending on your print and product you may need to carry out your own testing.

Muslin can shrink up to 4% on the warp and weft of the fabric.
