Extremely popular in fashion garments, georgette can be worn as a sheer layer or lined for an opaque look. The georgette shows print through both sides of the textile and is excellent for scarfs, blouses, dresses, skirts and other apparel and soft accessories.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Georgette being light weight is still a delicate fabric and care needs to be taken in the cutting, sewing, and washing of the fabric to avoid fraying and snags.
Georgette produces excellent print results with dynamic colour and ink penetration through the fabric.
Being light weigh Georgette can move around in the printing process and can impact a design that is linear if it shifts off the grain. This can occur in the printing of Georgette and is worth consideration in print design.
Each roll of fabric can have subtle variation in appearance and print translation
CARE
Cold delicate machine or hand wash, turn inside out to protect print. Recommend using a laundry bag in a washing machine. Line dry in shade or flat. Cool tumble dry. Do not iron, light steaming can be used to remove creases. Dry Cleanable
