Hello, I’m Katelyn Tso, I’m a surface pattern designer and textile designer based in Newcastle, Australia. I am deeply inspired by the Australian landscape around me, the sea, city and bush. I create playful graphic patterns, often a bit of Australiana but not always. I started out with my own women’s clothing label Indigo Thread. I started designing my own fabrics as I couldn’t find the right print for my brand.
My love for designing fabrics hasn’t stopped, I love seeing what others make with my fabrics. It’s so cool to see my designs on textiles, made into a beautiful dress or for homewares.
